Purple Lovegrass (Eragrostis spectabilis) is in our garden. The image Alex showed is purple but may be copyrighted.
The Lady Bird Johnson Wildflower Center (wildflower.org) shows it as being green rather than being actually purple. Link is attached. The photo is by Damon E. Waitt.
It is also known as Purple Love Grass, Purple Plans Lovegrass, Tumblegrass, and Petticoat Climber. Apparently it blooms purple in late summer. We have a plant in our garden, but it looks brown at the moment (June 30, 2026). We will include a picture if it perks up.
