Smooth Sumac features large upright clusters of yellow-green flowers.Female sumac plants develop into distinctive upright red fruit clusters in the fall.
Smooth sumac is related to staghorn sumac (Rhus hirta), but can be distinguished by its smooth, hairless stems.
